Mint Chutney Recipe

1 cup fresh coriander leaves
2/3 cup fresh mint leaves
1 tspn ginger
½ clove garlic
1 tspn green chilli
1 pc lemon juice
¼ cup green apple
1 cup water
How to Do
Wash the mint and coriander leaves and discard the stalks. Place in a blender or food processor with the rest of the ingredients and process briefly to get a chunky sauce. That's it!
The cumin is optional. It would work great with heavier meals like lamb or fried winter vegetables.
This sauce could be added to soups.
You could also use it as pasta sauce.
Or turn it into a pesto with the addition of nuts (walnuts or pine nuts) and parmesan cheese (or nutritional yeast if vegan).
It would also make a great addition to white cream-based sauces.
And a great salad dressing especially for tomato-based salads.
