This ground sumac originates from Turkey and is deliciously tangy & citrusy, just like a lemon. It adds acidity to creamy hummus, fattoush salad or any other dish that needs that extra something. Substitute this tart sumac for freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Sumac comes from the bright, deep red berries that grow on wild sumac flowers, found throughout the Mediterranean region.
