This fresh, small batch made chai spice mix is inspired by Indian street flavors, where there is a heavier hand on ginger and cardamom, and less on cinnamon. All you have to do is add it to your choice of black tea.

Let’s get started by making that warm, spiced Indian masala chai! Use 1 teaspoon of the chai masala powder for one cup of liquid, and simply mix in the masala while your loose black tea simmers. But, vary the spiced masala powder per your taste! If you like it bolder, add more. It's also great added into cake or cookie batter, or even melted into butter to use on dishes like french toast.
